Another year of graduates finding a tough job market. A college degree doesn’t guarantee anyone a job. The data shows those graduating into a bad economy permanently lag those graduating into a good economy, on average.

I’ve talked to a lot of employers about the hiring new graduates. They all say the same thing, “People that are new graduates expect too much from their employer right off the bat. They want to start off managing people because they have a degree, and they don’t want to put in their dues.” I’ve noticed in my area that another problem employers are having is the new workforce doesn’t to work overtime. They are happy with 40 hours a week and living a middle class life. They put more emphasis on balancing work with personal life. I think it’s something employers will have to adjust for.
