The time has come. And the cost savings should at least help a bit. While the numbers are staggering, a dollar or so per month saved for each and every beneficiary is still not just chump change.

I’m quite afraid that my generation (I’m in my 20s) won’t receive Social Security. I’m going to have to save up for retirement on my own, and pay for Social Security that at this rate I’ll probably never receive. It’s a bummer, but I believe in personal responsibility anyway, and relying on the government for our needs is never a good idea.
